About The Artist

Marial Porzelt is a Connecticut based photographer. After receiving her Bachelor’s in Photography, accompanied by a double minor in Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy from the Art Institute of Boston she returned to her Connecticut home. Her roots are set in a secluded home in the woods, surrounded by nature and privacy. This connection to “home” land and the natural world that shaped her as an individual often shines through in her work. Having been in the city for school she was more and more drawn to what she knew. Her work often speaks of the constant tug and pull of yearning for the past - the connectedness one once felt - and the necessity to be present and fulfilled.
